FAKED SET: ASIAN PERSUASION

Hey guys, I'm back at it again with a simple set for you. I had wanted to get this one done and out sooner, but I was away from home working on a different personal project. Now that I'm back, I'm eager to start whipping up some more fakes for all of our entertainment. This set was inspired by the comments of the previous set, and features some of the most lovely Asian beauties we've seen across our screens. So in order, we have Kristin Kreuk, Chloe Bennet, Karen Fukuhara, and Anna Sawai in a variety of different situations. So as always, lets briefly talk about them.

None of them were particularly difficult, but I ran into some weird problems with a few of them. The Sawai one is my least favorite due to how the color grading turned out. It's the most desaturated, and lacks some detail as a result. Nothing I did could change that sadly. The Kristin fake has this weird texture on the body that I couldn't get rid of, but I was able to blend it well enough with the headswap. So at the very least, it's visually cohesive. Nothing to really say about the Bennet fake; I'm mostly just glad I got to do something with that headshot of her-since it's been my favorite image of her and one I frequently used as "reference material," if you catch my meaning. Now the Fukuhara fake turned out to be my favorite of the bunch. I thought it would be Kristin's-since she's objectively one of the most beautiful women to ever exist-but this one turned into something special. Lesbian Katana was not something I ever knew I needed until I saw it, and it is flooding my mind's eye with very vivid imagery. The only thing I should've done-and yet chose not to-was to have Margot Robbie be the other woman in the image. I didn't want to take the focus away from Karen, but now I'm kicking myself that I didn't go through with it. There is a good chance I will go edit her in later, so when that's done, I'll provide it alongside a new set as a bonus fake. So stay tuned for that in the near future.

As for what I do next, I'm thinking of working with some of my favorites again for some quick work. I'll also still be hard at some of these composite ideas I have. The hardest thing about them is making them make sense in the image with the size and perspective, and I'll be the first to admit that I don't have a good eye for that. I'm determined, so I'll keep at it, but don't expect many of them anytime soon. As always, feel free to leave any suggestions you like in the comments below.

I hope you like these for now, and like always, stay safe out there.

  1. Thanks a ton for making the Karen Fukuhara one! I’m a tad biased as she’s my biggest celebrity crush, but I definitely agree that hers was the best one. The rest are also really amazing! The Anna Sawai one is probably my second fav just by virtue of how much I’ve grown to love her since watching Shogun.

    1. I'm glad you like it. When I started making it, I had my doubts on how it would turn out. Yet, it's always the ones you least expect that turn out the best.

I wish the Anna fake turned out better, but there's always next time. Sometimes you don't see the errors until you're too far into it. For instance, the Kristin fake was completely different initially, but I had to scrap it early due to how poor the headswap turned out. Sometimes, you gotta tell yourself to "keep it simple stupid."

Be sure to stay tuned for more. Thanks again.
