I Turned Katheryn Winnick into Trish from the Devil May Cry Series using AI...

Much like the title says, I spent most of today turning the gorgeous and badass Katheryn Winnick into Trish from Devil May Cry-one of my video game series for its gameplay and characters-using AI image generation, AI faceswap, and the more traditional photoshop techniques fakers and digital artists use to create their work. I am more than thrilled with the result, and I will go into some detail on the creation of this image.

So the initial prompt wasn't that great to begin with. It clearly drew from Dante's appearance for the image instead of Trish like I specified, but instead of trying it again, I decided I would do my best to rectify it. Here is the initial image generated along with the faceswap:

They aren't half bad, but they had some glaring issues. Notably, the two belly buttons and her left hand missing a thumb. Removing the extra belly button took two seconds with the remove tool, but the thumb required a bit more trickery. I copied and warped a part of the glove and one of the fingers to create a thumb, and then I added black fingernails to make it more realistic and compliment her all black attire. Although this isn't her typical attire, I think it is something she would most definitely wear, as it still fits her general aesthetic.

Before all that, gave her long hair by using another pic of Katheryn and layering it in the background. I then used clone stamp to match the color, and used the remove tool and generative fill to make it more realistic. I then took that result into Faceapp to make the hair even more realistic and give it some texture. Here is the result after that process:

Lastly, I worked in some DMC elements to better convey what I was doing. I downloaded the DMC logo from Reddit and used it in a similar manner to my signature "FAKED" text. I did download a DMC5 font to add "Katheryn Winnick" and "The Bewitching Devil Trish" to the sides, but I decided that it wasn't necessary. I decided to change the background to an actual location in DMC5. If I recall correctly, it is from V's first or second mission, where if you summon Nightmare, it comes out of that graffitied wall, and you can go find a Purple Orb at the top level. I decided to give her the Alastor from DMC1. However, it is not a weapon she has ever used. Normally, she is equipped with the Devil Sword Sparda. I decieded that since this image takes place in Redgrave City, and presumably during or after the events of DMC5, she wouldn't have the DSS for story reasons. So I chose to give her the Alastor instead due to the fact that I and many other fans agree that it would be an appropriate weapon for her to use in place of the DSS. I would love to have her lean against the Cavaliere as well, but I think that is beyond my skillset currently, plus Dante still has it after the events of 5.

After that, I applied my usual finishing touch ups, and called it a day. This was an awesome project for me to do, and I enjoyed every second of it. It is far from perfect, and a real digital artist would most definitely do this much better, but for someone like me who lacks those skills currently, it is mind-blowing what I was able to accomplish. I give it an S rank for the effort put into it.

I will be doing another project similar to this one with Yvonne Strahovski as Miranda Lawson from Mass Effect, so stay tuned for that in the near future. For now, do me a favor you freaks: if you beat your meat to this one, you better beat it to a SmokinSexyStyle rank while Bury the Light plays in the background. Enjoy!
